Commercial (Non-Nuclear) Motor Operated Valve Grease

MOV Extra uses a state of the art thickener, to give outstanding performance. It was specifically formulated to offer solutions to the past problems associated with the lubrication of manual and motorized operators, and to provide a longer service life. This grease is a good solution for the recent cancellation of the Nebula EP grease that had been used in valve operators. It also has a lower viscosity base oil for much better mobility at low temperatures. MOV Extra meets the Limitorque, requirements and is one of few greases shown to be compatible with the calcium complex thickener in Nebula EP. It may be used without stripping down the valve operators or rigorously cleaning the valve stems of the old grease. However, the more obsolete grease that is removed the better the performance of MOV Extra. MOV Extra is currently available in NLGI Grades "0", "1" and "2" and is now being used in fossil fuelled power stations. MOV Extra has a lower viscosity base oil for better mobility and performance at colder ambients. It can be used in all Limitorque MOV's but has not been EQ tested for safety related applications. For these MOV Long Life is the only approved grease.
