High Temperature, Fire Resistant Hydraulic Fluids
Reolube HYD fully formulated fire resistant fluids are designed for use in a wide variety of general industrial applications.
They offer performance and safety advantages in high temperature applications where the risk of fire needs to be minimized such as hydraulic equipment, power generation units and other industrial applications. The Reolube HYD range is available in several viscosity grades each consisting of carefully selected and blended phosphate esters made from fully synthetic raw materials and additive packages developed over many years of operating experience.
FR 46 PE (Reolube HYD 46)
FR 46 PE phosphate ester fire resistant hydraulic fluid provides a safer working environment for those applications where hydraulic piping may rupture and spray fluid onto hot surfaces and ignite with resultant hazard to plant personnel and equipment. FR 46 PE is specifically manufactured for high pressure applications requiring a fire resistant hydraulic fluid.
FR 46 PE is recommended for use in precision industrial hydraulic equipment requiring high performance phosphate ester type fire resistant hydraulic fluid. This fluid is able to withstand system pressures over 10,000 PSI at temperatures exceeding 100° C.
Typical applications include continuous casting machines, robotic welding equipment and engine block casting equipment. FR 46 PE phosphate ester fire resistant hydraulic fluid is approved by Factory Mutual as a Group 1 fire resistant hydraulic fluid.
Reolube HYD 46B
Reolube HYD 46B is a wholly synthetic fire resistant hydraulic fluid and lubricant based on triaryl phosphates. The fluid meets the viscosity limits of ISO VG 46 and provides excellent oxidation stability at high temperatures.

The fluid is intended for use in all industrial applications where a fire hazard exists, but it is of particular value where high temperature stability is necessary.
Reolube HYD 46B is approved against the Factory Mutual Standard 6930 for 'Less flammable hydraulic fluids' and also meets the requirements of ISO Standard 12922 for HFDR-type fire-resistant fluids.
