Reolube Turbofluid
Electro Hydraulic Control (EHC) Fluids
Reolube Turbofluid fire resistant fluids are specifically designed to meet the stringent operating demands and OEM specifications of the modern power generation market. The range includes Turbofluid 32B GT, primarily designed for stationary gas turbine, but can also be used for combined cycle and steam turbine units where an ISO VG 32 fluid or lubricant is required. The ISO VG 46 Turbofluids cover the wide range of requirements for both steam and gas turbine governor control and lubrication systems.
Reolube Turbofluid 46XC
Reolube Turbofluid 46XC is a high performance, fire-resistant hydraulic fluid designed for use in electro hydraulic governor control systems of steam turbines, including systems using fine tolerance servo valves.
It is a triaryl phosphate based on a selected xylenol distillate, and is formulated to provide good oxidation stability. Physical properties, such as foaming, air release and demulsibility, are also carefully controlled within turbine manufacturers' specified limits. A maintenance and use guide and a list of manufacturers' approvals are available on request.
Reolube Turbofluid 46XC is also recommended for use as a fire-resistant lubricant, for example in steam and gas turbines.
Reolube Turbofluid 46XC is approved by the Factory Mutual Research Corporation against Standard 5930 for 'Less flammable hydraulic fluids'. It also meets the requirements of ISO Standard 12922 for HFDR-type fire-resistant hydraulic fluids.
Reolube Turbofluid 46B
Reolube Turbofluid 46B (formerly Durad EHB) is a high performance, fire-resistant hydraulic fluid designed principally for use in electro hydraulic control systems of steam turbines.
The product is based on a synthetic triaryl phosphate ester produced from butylated phenols, and has been formulated to meet the demanding requirements of the major steam turbine manufacturers. A list of equipment builder's approvals and a maintenance and use guide are available on request.
Reolube Turbofluid 46B is also approved against Factory Mutual Standard 6930 for 'Less flammable hydraulic fluids' and meets the requirements of lSO Standard 12922 for HFDR-type fire-resistant hydraulic fluids.
Reolube Turbofluid 46B was originally introduced in 1986 and has since been used by a wide range of utilities, mainly in the USA.
Reolube Turbofluid 32B GT
Reolube Turbofluid 32B GT is an ISO VG 32 fluid designed primarily for the hydraulic control and lubrication systems of stationary industrial gas turbines but it can also be used for steam turbine and combined cycle applications where an ISO VG 32 fire-resistant hydraulic fluid or lubricant is required. Information on equipment builders' approvals, and a maintenance and use guide are available on request.
Reolube Turbofluid 32B GT is based on a tertiary-butylphenyl phosphate and therefore offers a combination of high fire-resistance and excellent oxidation stability-factors which are essential for minimizing fire hazards and ensuring a long fluid life in the high temperature environment of a gas turbine.
Phosphate esters, including Reolube Turbofluid 32B GT, have been used for many years in the lubrication of industrial gas turbines principally for natural gas transmission, but also in power generation and much operating experience has been obtained in a variety of different equipment.
The fluid is approved by the Factory Mutual Research Corporation and meets the requirements for HFDR fluids in ISO 12922 Standard on fire-resistant hydraulic fluids.
